What a wonderful memorable first day!!! Everyone woke up and had an amazing delicious breakfast and superb service at the Doubletree Guest Suites…we are sort of celebrities here :). After breakfast we had great sessions with the children as well as the adults.

The children created swamps with REAL slime.  Jamal Lillard helped read a great book to the older youth group written by kids whose mom had breast cancer.

The adults had a special time of sharing as well as a visit from Jeremiah who spoke to them about how vital the Legacy Video is for their family. Jeremiah is the son of a former retreat mom who passed away this past December.

Once we rallied the troops (and the lunches 🙂 ) we loaded the buses, and the families headed off to either Disney World, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. There were so many amazing memories made this day…screaming on the Rockin’ Rollercoaster, imaginations brewing during Mickey’s Fantasmic Light Show, and tons of pictures, balloons, and cotton candy.

We enjoyed dinner at Toy Story’s Pizza Planet and they even opened up the air hockey table just for us…FOR FREE!!! The DeWolf’s and Berry’s are apparently one huge family now because they enjoyed each other so much that they want to hangout together the rest of the trip! The Bernhardt Family enjoyed a great day at the park and the kids were so excited to go back to the hotel with their favorite volunteer Allen to go swimming. So…with Allen in charge of her children, spirited Michelle went back to the park without the kids and hung out with her new friends the Crum Family.

Gabe Miller decided he wanted to sleep his way through dinner at Pizza Planet in order to entertain everyone and keep them laughing all the way home…at eleven o’clock!!!

The Graham Family and the Cesarini Family hit it off great and were the thrill seekers hitting up the Rockin’ Roller coaster and Tower of Terror! However, Bella decided to take a rain check on the Tower of Terror and claimed it was her nemesis.  She is determined to come back and conquer the Tower of Terror.

Today was amazing and magical for everyone! We can’t wait to tell you the adventures of tomorrow! Until then….
