The 2013 fall race season has begun! Team Inheritance of Hope runners will be found in 4 amazing races.
Asheville Citizen Times City Half Marathon – 9/28:
My niece and I are running this hilly course on September 28th. This will be my second half marathon … and, of course, when I run a race, it is dedicated to the families served by Inheritance of Hope in honor of my great friend, Kristen Milligan. Kara Goucher says it’s not about having a perfect training experience but about hard work and dedication. My training has been hard work, and I’m dedicated to finishing this race – so I’m planning on having a great time!
Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) – 10/27:
Team Inheritance of Hope’s debut in the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon raised $16,000 with 10 runners. This year, over 80 runners will be running representing Team IOH – to raise funds for families. A pre-race celebration dinner will take place the night before, and on race day, IOH will host a celebration tent in the MCM’s Charity Village – near the race finish line.
ING NYC Marathon – 11/3:
2012 – the year of the cancelled ING NYC Marathon – and the first year that Team Inheritance of Hope was invited to participate in this prestigious event. Our amazing team raised close to $80,000! Team runners were given the opportunity by the NYRRs to choose another year with guaranteed entry. This year, 8 new runners and 1 returning 2012 runner will be representing Team IOH in the Big Apple.
Big Sur Half Marathon – 11/17:
This is Team Inheritance of Hope’s 4th year participating in this 13.1 mile race through the beautiful Monterrey Peninsula in California. 2 bibs are still available but will be going fast!
