Meet Tracey and Beth. These two longtime supporters of Inheritance of Hope have worn many volunteer hats during their service to IoH. They have helped families navigate travel and logistics on a Legacy Retreat®, facilitated discussion groups for kids and adults during retreats and weekends, and been champions (literally and figuratively) for Hope Hubs™.
Every Monday night, they meet with a group of people navigating the devastation of an incurable, degenerative disease that offers 3 to 5 years of life after diagnosis. They do more than facilitate the ALS Hope@Home™ Group; they link arms with these individuals as their physical bodies shut down. They offer members a place to be seen, heard, and loved. These ladies love through their smiles, encouraging words, consistency in showing up every single week, and even spontaneous trips to visit their group members in person.
Not limited by physical distance or failing bodies, the relationships they have forged with each other and their ALS group members continue even after the person has passed away. They honor and remember the people in their group and celebrate the chance they had to know them during their lifetime. This is not a role for everyone, but this is a role that these two ladies have raised their hands for over and over again.
Thank you Beth and Tracey for your love and service, you inspire us!
