Kim Bohannon
Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) for the Tennessee Credit Union League, Kim is responsible for the development and delivery of association services in the areas of compliance, education, and communication. At IoH, however, we know her as someone with a tremendous heart for struggling families, and in particular, caregivers. Kim’s introduction to Inheritance of Hope came when she and her family attended the May 2015 Legacy Retreat® to Orlando.
Kim is a certified Credit Union Compliance Expert, Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist, and a member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. Beyond her passion for IoH, Kim is a committed advocate for the prevention and detection of elder financial exploitation. She has presented testimony to the Governor’s Elder Abuse Task Force regarding the impact of elder financial exploitation in Tennessee, and is a sought-out speaker on this important topic. Kim has brought this issue to light by speaking at the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators Annual Conference and the Tennessee Elder Justice Conference. In 2016, she represented financial institutions as a guest panelist on the PBS show Aging Matters, which explored the elder abuse crisis. She currently serves on the Governor’s Elder Abuse Task Force in Tennessee.
Kim attended the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, and lives in Athens, Tennessee, where her two adult children also reside. Her first book is in the works, a memoir she wrote after her husband passed away that recognizes and validates the role of the caregiver while also sharing hope and inspiration.
