Dan Dix
Dan Dix is a graduate of Houghton College in Houghton, NY. He holds a doctorate in biology from Temple University and did postgraduate work at the University of Colorado. Dan continues to be active in the life of Houghton College, where he serves as the chair of the Development Committee for the Athletics Advisory Board and is a member of the Athletics Task Force.
Dan recently retired from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director of Formulation Development, a role he held since 1996. His Formulations Development Group, which holds several patents, creates formulas to help stabilize the proteins in pharmaceuticals in order to provide time for the drug to be created, manufactured, distributed, and ultimately used by patients. Dan and his team are responsible for extending the shelf-life of many of Regeneron’s drugs in order to ensure that patients get a drug that is safe and effective.
Dan has served families directly and personally as a volunteer at several Inheritance of Hope Legacy Retreats®. He and his wife, Brenda, have 3 grown children.
Dan joined the Inheritance of Hope board in 2016.
