What do families do? They laugh together. They cry together. They celebrate together. They make memories together. And, they have family reunions!

We look forward to opening registration once our vendors resume normal operations. In the meantime, mark your calendars: Sept. 5-7, 2020 (note slight date change from our previous announcement) at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld.

Q. Who’s invited?

Any family that has attended a Legacy Retreat, or any volunteer that has served at a Legacy Retreat.

Q. What’s included?

Registration includes food (dinner on Sept. 5; breakfast/lunch/dinner on Sept. 6; breakfast on Sept. 7), lodging (Sept. 5 & 6), and 2 t-shirts.

Q. How will I get to the reunion?

Unlike a traditional retreat, travel expenses are covered by individuals attending the reunion.

Q. How many people to a room?

Price is based on 2-5 to a room; there’s a single occupancy price option at registration too if that is your preference.

Q. Will our family have a volunteer?

Many IoH volunteers will be on-site to catch up with the families they have served in the past. Families will not be paired with a volunteer at the Reunion.

Q. Will there be childcare available?

All breakout sessions and large group gatherings will be kid-friendly or offer an option for all age ranges.

Q. What if the event is sold out?

There’s a limited number of rooms, so we recommend registering early. There will be a waitlist if/when we reach capacity.

Q. Can I see who is attending?

An attendee list will be available.

Q. What if we want to come early or stay longer?

Since you will be arranging your own travel and transportation plans, feel free to arrive early or stay longer. Any hotel nights outside of Sept. 5 & 6 will be your responsibility to coordinate, reserve, book and pay for.

Q. What’s the best way to get to the hotel from the airport?

Uber or Lyft for approximately $30 (each way).

If you rent a car, the hotel has parking at a reduced rate of $14/day, for our group, but is not covered by IoH. 

Q. Can I choose my roommate(s) if I’m not coming with my family?

You can list your desired roommate(s) as part of online registration.

Q. What will we need to pack?

Each registered attendee will receive 2 IoH t-shirts, 1 for Saturday and 1 for Sunday.

All of the planned activities will be at the Renaissance Hotel at SeaWorld. This expansive hotel has a beautiful pool and splash pad as well as a game room and ping pong table and lawn games. Please pack comfortable, casual clothing, to include bathing suits.

The weather during this time of year in Florida is hot but the hotel is often chilly so make sure you pack a sweater for indoors.

Q. How can I invite my friends from IoH?

Once registration opens, please share the registration link with your IoH friends through email, text or social media messaging. Tell them you are going and that you would love to see them!

Q. What if I want to bring a guest?

Guests are welcome. Each person simply needs to register themself using the correct registration type.
