Another beautiful day in the city. We enjoyed another magnificent breakfast at the Hotel Novotel at 8:30 this morning. While we ate, we watched four guys change a large billboard. It was impressive to watch, especially at eye level! The weather is warmer today. As I write, it’s 64 degrees – toasty considering it’s almost December.
After breakfast, everyone headed up to 73rd for our meeting time. Parents had a great session talking about legacy. Linda Stoll, the counselor who skillfully facilitates these sessions said “the session went fabulously and the parents did great work.”
Inheritance of Hope families met Hotel Novotel New York General Manager Marc Sternagel and Director of Sales Amalia Disla at lunch. We first met both Marc and Amalia when they ran the NYC Half Marathon for Team Inheritance of Hope last March. Marc welcomed everyone and spoke about the importance of making memories together with family. He joked that we must be very busy because he hasn’t seen us around the hotel much. Marc, Amalia, and the entire Novotel team have been absolutely fantastic! Inheritance of Hope Executive Director Deric Milligan commented that there is no better place to experience New York City and Times Square. How true! Thanks Marc and Amalia for making this Inheritance of Hope Legacy Retreat a reality!!!
The rest of the day is filled with activities. Families are enjoying the Radio City Christmas Spectacular now. This evening’s schedule includes parent meetings with children’s counselor Marilyn, legacy videos, date night, and kid’s night out. Whew!
More to come later today …
So glad to hear about today and the great time by all. Sounds like the Rockettes were awesome. Looking forward to hearing more about the day.
