What an honor it’s been serving these families this weekend. I’ve had a really fun time serving, and I can’t wait for all the retreats to come! With that said, I’d love to start our time off with a message of hope, and our verse for today:
“‘For surely I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NRSV)
As the four last words of Jeremiah 29:11 attest, God promises us “a future with hope.” The way will not always be easy, but God will always be beside us, helping us along our personal journeys, and guiding us through our highs and our lows. God promises you that He has your future in His hands. That’s the heart of Jeremiah 29:11: “He is indeed our guide to hope!” That’s because, in loving Jesus, we come to understand that God’s plan promises you and me that everything is “‘for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.’”
And here at Inheritance of Hope, our mission is to be beacons of light to families enduring hardships, to spread God’s love, and to bring hope and peace to those with aching hearts. To show families that despite uncertainty, God promises that their future will be filled with hope.
On this last day of our Hope@Home™ Weekend, I want to challenge you to do something special for somebody, to maybe give them a little bit more hope, or bring a little more happiness to their day.
