Give Tax-Free from Your IRA

“Donating to Inheritance of Hope from our IRA allows us to continue giving in retirement. While we’re obligated to take an IRA distribution, directing those funds to a charity ensures it’s not counted as income for us. This option has given us great joy as we can continue sharing the blessing of Inheritance of Hope.”
Giving to Inheritance of Hope directly from your IRA is a great way to maximize your tax benefits.
We welcome gifts of any size to serve families facing the loss of a parent.
  • A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), also known as IRA Charitable Rollover, enables individuals age 70½ or older to give directly from your IRA without the distribution counting as taxable income
  • If you have a required minimum distribution from your IRA, making a QCD to Inheritance of Hope counts toward your required minimum distribution without counting as taxable income
  • You can make a qualified charitable distribution by informing your IRA custodian that you want to donate to Inheritance of Hope directly from your IRA

Donating IRA assets directly to Inheritance of Hope – rather than selling them and then donating the proceeds – enables you to save on your taxes and inspire more hope! Donations to Inheritance of Hope are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; EIN 75-3243566.

Your IRA gift must be completed by December 31 to be eligible for your tax return.

Remember that it may take several business days to process after you submit the information.

For questions, more information, or assistance with this tax-beneficial giving option, we are ready to help before December ends at development@InheritanceOfHope.org or 931-247-3098.
