2012 Asheville Citizen Times 5K and Half Marathon

45 Team IOH runners hit the Asheville, NC, streets Saturday morning, September 15th, taking part in the 2012 Asheville Citizen-Times 5K and Half Marathon.  Families and individuals joined forces – in support of families served by Inheritance of Hope.

An Inheritance of Hope flag marked the team meeting place near the start and finish lines – the race started in fog and ended in sunshine.  The team cheered each other on and enjoyed fellowship and laughter.

Many of the team members had participated in a 12 week Bible Study written by Inheritance of Hope co-founder Kristen Milligan.  The Bible Study, Allowing His Power to be Perfect in Weakness, was sent each weekday to the participant’s email inbox with once a week gatherings for group discussion and a run.  If your church, Bible study, team, or group has interest in experiencing together this study from the unique perspective of a nine-year cancer survivor, simply contact candice@inheritanceofhope.org.

The event was fun and energizing.  We hope you will join us for the 2013 Asheville Citizen-Times races next September!
