Marketing Volunteers

Resources Volunteers
Be part of a collaborative team that creatively designs content to help tell the Inheritance of Hope story in 2 ways:
- Create artwork for existing marketing campaigns (e.g., direct mail, #GivingTuesday social media, National Legacy Day, etc.)
- Serve in an “on-demand” role helping leaders meet graphic needs for their program (e.g., Hope@Home™ Groups, Legacy Retreats®, etc.)
Be part of a collaborative team that captures and/or edits content to help tell the Inheritance of Hope story.
- Capture, edit, and share content for Inheritance of Hope programming
- Edit existing footage captured by staff and volunteers for program marketing (e.g., National Legacy Day, Hope Hubs™, Annual Vision Event, etc.)
- Assist leaders with the planning and execution of future videos for IoH programs
- Generate ideas for video use within IoH’s social media strategy
Be part of a team that has an overall goal of handling supplies for approximately 3,000 services delivered each year.
- Participate in annual inventory counting day
- Help pack for Legacy Retreats® and other major events.
- Restock and package supplies as needed at IoH Supply Central (Atlanta, GA)
Be part of a team that has an overall goal of supporting the shipping and handling of a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) charity.
- Data entry to import and update addresses in our mailing software (from anywhere)
- Handle mail that comes to and from our warehouse (Atlanta, GA)
Work directly with our Technology Manager and join a team of other volunteers that provides tech support for the IoH Staff Members and program volunteers.
- We’re looking for 5 volunteers who are proficient with technology and eager to learn.
- As a tech support volunteer, you will assist with common help requests and questions, which you will be trained on how to answer.
- Requests would be managed and collaborated on through Asana, our task management platform.
- Tasks should receive attention within two business days of the request.
- We’re looking for a 1-month commitment from each volunteer.

Development Volunteers
Monthly Givers is a community of monthly givers that help build lifelong legacies for Inheritance of Hope families.
- Assist with growing our Monthly Giver community
- Various tasks include updating payment information, data maintenance, donor relationship building, and more
Seek out new opportunities to grow to reach more Inheritance of Hope families.
- Assist in managing and applying of grants
- Maintain high level of organization while managing various applications with different requirements
Be part of a team that generates the “best #GivingTuesday yet” culture.
- Invite others to participate in IoH’s #GT campaign (e.g., matching gifts, create a page, establish school/group fundraiser, etc.)
- Post details on personal social media and encourage others to do the same
- Collaborate with IoH leaders on #GT strategy and goals
- Actively thank donors on #GivingTuesday
Be a part of a team who engages regularly with donors to help them see the impact of their giving and feel good about it.
- Recognize notable donor milestones from their first gift throughout their lifetime of giving
- Build meaningful relationships through regular communication and touchpoints
- Engage donors through online and direct mail platforms
- Assist with creation of thank you cards/materials and mailing campaigns
- Periodically write and send handwritten notes
Programs Volunteers
Be part of a 1-3 person facilitator team with a goal of serving 10+ people in an ongoing online community.
- Facilitate/Host a weekly 1-hour Zoom session, preferably for at least 6 months
- Start Zoom sessions 15 minutes early, admit members, and offer a supportive and engaging presence to welcome others with warmth and encouragement
- Share a prepared resource provided to you by IoH staff, facilitate discussion and connections
- Engage group members outside of the Zoom sessions to offer check-ins/encouragement
- Participate in annual training through Zoom
Facilitators will be equipped with the tools to lead their group well through thorough training manual readings and a one-on-one/small group virtual hour-long training.
Be part of a team of 20 volunteers to serve families in local community sites with the goal of providing 480 services a year.
- Attend monthly gatherings in a Hope Hub location
- Support connections and facilitate group activities and discussion related to monthly themes for various age groups (kids, teens, parents)
- Extend a warm welcome to families through hospitality and ongoing communication
- Support Hope Hub™ routine through administrative tasks: communication, attendance tracking, inventory & supplies, facility prep
Be part of a team who inspires hope by traveling to a retreat location and serving a family in-person.
- Support families as they make travel plans and consider all special needs and details leading up to a Legacy Retreat®
- Participate in weekly family navigator meetings
- Make personal connections with families by making intake calls and assisting in the application process
- Facilitate a group of children or adults at our on-site retreats
- Manage logistics details for an event such as wheelchair rental, bus reservations, pre-ordered meals and other behind the scenes tasks
- Join our photo team to capture and share special photo memories for families by organizing, uploading and working with pictures taken at Legacy Retreats®
Be part of a team that grows National Legacy Day™ (5/21: IoH’s founding date) to become nationally recognized.
- Invite others to share our vision/story
- Actively pursue media opportunities to grow our audience
- Assist existing leaders with program planning and/or execution
A Legacy Video™ Coach is someone who is a great listener and feels comfortable leading one-to-one conversations that can be very emotional at times. Being a Legacy Video™ Coach is also about working with a variety of demographics because this service is offered to all. It will be common to work with a family facing the loss of a parent, but there are also many times where you will work with another demographic such as a grandparent or younger person who wants to build their own intentional legacy.
- Work with two individuals per month on a Legacy Video™
- Serve as a Legacy Video Coach on two Hope@Home™ Weekends per year
- Attend quarterly meetings with the full Legacy Video™ Team
- Communicate in a timely manner
Be part of a team that has an overall goal of providing innovative and supporting technology for a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) charity.
- Data entry
- Track and record zoom attendance
- No tech experience is necessary, a computer required
- On-call support for Hope@Home™ Groups (from anywhere), including the willingness to check email and possibly communicate security codes through Hope@Home™ app
- A very easy job for someone who is reliable and willing to check their email often, no tech experience required
Be part of a team that grows the Annual Vision Event into a community-based program for “all-things IoH.”
- Invite existing and potential IoH supporters to attend
- Assist existing Vision leaders with program planning and/or execution
