Inspiring Hope from the Comfort of Her Home

Inheritance of Hope (IoH) supporter, Kathy Brice, is no stranger to the uncertainty of illness. She herself has faced a cancer diagnosis.

Kathy was introduced to IoH at a friend’s gathering in her Golden Oak, FL neighborhood with IoH partner Kendra Scott. The IoH story resonated with her and decided to support by providing Disney tickets for young families facing the loss of a parent. She also attended two Orlando Legacy Retreats® to see the impact for herself.

Recently, in coordination with IoH Development Manager Dena Austin, she decided to create an opportunity for Inheritance of Hope to share its mission with other existing and potential supporters – all from the comfort of her home!
In addition to the delicious food and drink (highlights include an avocado bar and flaming donuts!), guests were treated to a wonderful community, testimony from Seji Shiraishi (a family served by IoH), and a fun activity from the IoH program team.

Guests were able to participate in a popular IoH programming activity where one writes something that “I’m sick of” on an egg and has the opportunity to smash it at a target. Fun and therapeutic at the same time!
A great host with great partners and supporters – all for young families facing the loss of a parent!
