A new year is a new opportunity to be intentional with your loved ones. At Inheritance of Hope, we believe every moment matters and is a part of the legacy you’re building. It’s not about the size of what you do, but rather the heart behind it.
Here are 3 simple ways that you can be intentional in 2026:
- Record a fun video with your kids. Showcase everyone’s personality, humor, and things they enjoy. Not only will your family have fun in the moment, but you will also capture sweet moments to look back on together in the future
- Let your kids know you’re proud of them. Hide a note in their lunch box, place it on the bathroom mirror, or spend some quality time sharing how you feel with them. Your words will not only encourage them now but will leave a lasting impact
- Plan a family activity each month. What is a hobby your family can try? Where is your family’s favorite place to go together? Do you have a favorite movie or game? Take some time during dinner at the beginning of each month to plan one fun thing you all can do together. Your children will always remember the moments where you were present with them
As 2026 begins, how will you be intentional? Whether facing terminal illness or not, we all can use the new year to build our legacy. For more ideas, download our free app >>
Anna Conti is the Marketing & Communications Manager at Inheritance of Hope. When she was 15, her dad was diagnosed with a rare stage four cancer. During this time, Anna felt isolated because she did not know any other kids who knew what it was like to have a terminally ill parent. In 2011, the Conti family attended an Inheritance of Hope Legacy Retreat®, an experience that was truly life-changing for them all. Inspired to give back and help other families, Anna served as a volunteer for many years before coming on staff full time in 2021. Anna currently lives in the Atlanta, GA area.
