Peace

dont-wait-for-the-storm-to-passPeace. It does not mean being in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

How do you do that? When there are true storms pounding down on us and looming in the distance how do we remain calm in our hearts? How do we “dance in the rain”?

My best friend (who started Inheritance of Hope) has battled terminal liver cancer for the past 9+ years. Her body is now very tired.  She is not waiting for her “storm to be over” but she has been dancing in the rain.  She has decided to regard her storm as a blessing and make the most out of the opportunities it has provided her.  She has used it as a megaphone to tell others about the hope she has in Christ.  She has started a ministry to serve families like her own and help them through life’s storms. She has an eternal perspective and knows that because of her faith the only thing that will end is her cancer.  Her life will not end!  She has an eternal life promised to her where no storms will come.

Are you in the midst of a huge storm right now? If you need some hope please read James 1:2-4 and Psalm 30 then grab a friend and start dancing!
