I am in love.....have been for quite some time.
Actually July 11th 2005 was the date we first met and it was NOT love at first sight.
It was a practical relationship.
My sleek trendy stylish Acura SUV had kind of died so...
When my gas light comes on I know I have another 60 miles (at least!) until I will run out of a gas. I tend to push that limit and have been known to be a little risky when it comes to keeping my tank filled.
My husband, on the other hand, rarely lets his gas tank get below a half of tank. Seems like his tank is always full.
I guess someone could analyze our opposing behavior and probably figure out our place in the birth order, personality types, learning styles, sleep patterns. OK...maybe not. But surely this says something about the way we operate.
Soccer season is in full swing in my life right now. Most of my days are spent in a black canvas fold-up chair next to a huge field of grass.
I have learned a few lessons from my days at the soccer field.
If you try to play offense and defense at the same time, you're gonna kill yourself. The field is large and if you run after the ball every time it moves you will not be able to maintain the stamina to complete the game. If you're playing forward you have to trust your defensive players to do their job while you get open and wait for their pass up field.
