Kristen and Deric Milligan shared a passion for serving families with terminally ill parents borne of first-hand experience facing the daily challenges of that situation
Deric, who serves as CEO, holds an MBA (with distinction) from NYU's Stern School of Business. He has a background as a project manager, having led the team responsible for Army halftime productions from 2002-2008. Prior to that, he was an educator in Florida and Michigan public schools. Deric also holds degrees from Northwestern University and The University of Michigan. In 2015 Deric was named an Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient.
Kristen was an inspirational speaker who shared her testimony in numerous U.S. states and abroad. She was the author of three books, including two for children and one for adults. Kristen held degrees from Davidson College and Florida State University. She died on Friday, October 26, 2012 after a ten-year battle with liver cancer, but her legacy continues through Inheritance of Hope.
