When my friend Hannah Lofthus (pictured) and I decided to run the NYC Half-Marathon in March, I knew that I wanted to use my participation to help one of our many local charities.  As a financial advisor, I understand the importance of making sure that a family is financially provided for in the unfortunate event of the loss of a parent, especially when he or she leaves behind young children.  Everyday I am able to work with families to help ensure that their financial legacy will carry on if something were to happen.

But when a family is given the tragic news of a life-threatening illness, I also understand the importance of being able to spend as much time together as possible, to create new memories and strengthen the bonds within the family.  This is what Inheritance of Hope is able to give to each family.

By helping me to exceed my goal of $1,000, you are helping Inheritance of Hope to provide support to improve quality of life, peace of mind, and well-being to the children and families affected.  I know in these rough economic times money is not in abundance, which makes it even more difficult for these families to afford the extras in life.  Please know that every bit helps and your kindness does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
