This morning it is a little bit cooler and cloudy in the Big Apple.

Most of the families were a little later down to breakfast this morning, feeling the tiredness from an amazing a busy day yesterday.  After filling their bellies with the Novotel’s delicious breakfast spread everyone was able to perk up to begin a fun and full day in the city. Currently (at 6:30am) the skies are clear and it is 53 degrees.  This day will start with a delicious breakfast at the Hotel Novotel. Did I mention that this luxurious hotel is in the heart of Times Square and we only need to look out our windows to see the most spectacular view of New York City?  Families have been enjoying the rooftop deck. Make sure you check out the pictures! (You have to be a member of the “Fans of the 2011 New York City Legacy Group”.)

One of the commonalities is their excitement regarding this retreat.  Understandably so…. Read the rest of this entry »

Another beautiful day in the city.  We enjoyed another magnificent breakfast at the Hotel Novotel at 8:30 this morning.  While we ate, we watched four guys change a large billboard.  It was impressive to watch, especially at eye level!  The weather is warmer today.  As I write, it’s 64 degrees – toasty considering it’s almost December.

After breakfast, everyone headed up to 73rd for our meeting time.  Parents had a great session talking about legacy.  Linda Stoll, the counselor who skillfully facilitates these sessions said “the session went fabulously and the parents did great work.” Read the rest of this entry »
